A Twist on an Old Favorite and My First Recipe Video!
January 16, 2011
Today was a big day!
Not only did I decide on ONE of the items I will be auctioning off for my online bake sale but I also recorded my first recipe video so that you could see it in full action!
I’m so excited to share with you my Chocolate Chip Stuffed Cookies!
I saw these yummy cookies on Sing For Your Supper. Amy made her stuffed cookies with Oreos, but I decided to use Nutter Butters. Mmmm!
So I hope you all enjoy, I would love any feedback on my video. (And I apologize that there’s no editing. I recorded the whole recipe in one shot, and am looking in to purchasing an editing program)
The end result was so amazing! I can’t wait for the highest bidder to sink their teeth in to these. Make sure you have a tall glass of milk
Chocolate Chip Stuffed Cookies Adapted from Sing For Your Supper
Ingredients -1 c (2 sticks) softened butter -3/4 c packed light brown sugar -1 c granulated sugar -2 large eggs -1 tbsp vanilla extract -3 1/2 c flour -1 tsp salt -1 tsp baking soda -12 oz bag of chocolate chips -1 bag Mini Nutter Butter Cookies
Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a stand or electric mixer cream butter and sugars until well combined.
Add in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt and baking soda. Slowly add to wet ingredients along with chocolate chips until just combined.
Using a cookie scoop take one scoop of cookie dough and place on on your baking sheet. Top the cookie dough scoop with three Mini Nutter Butter Cookies. Take another scoop of dough and place it on top of your first scoop, like your making a sandwich. Seal edges together by pressing and cupping in hand until Mini Nutter Butter Cookies are enclosed with dough.
Bake 17-20 minutes or until cookies are baked to your liking. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.

You are absolutely gorgeous, just stunning! Your apron is so cute and you did an an AMAZING job with the video.
The cookies look SOOO good. If I could eat peanuts, I would devour these in seconds. What a great idea to put nutter butters in the middle of the cookie, you’re so creative.
And I am really looking forward to the bake sale! Good luck with the marathon too.
You’re too sweet!
Can’t wait to see what you’re making!!!
Why have I not thought of stuffing chocolate chip cookies? Such a marvelous idea, Steph!
That’s exactly what I said when I saw this recipe!

)

Wow what a great idea… I love Nutter Butters, excellent choice
Congrats on your first video!
Great job Steph! Love the video. Videos are so exciting! I have my Hubby do the videos and the editing for me. He has an Imac and uses the Imovie software that came with it. I would love to be able to suggest an editing program for you but I am not that tech savy. I also would have forgotten to turn the camera on!
Well done!
an image is a thousand words; and a movie is a million!!! super!
Great video and those cookies look way too good for words!!
You’re a natural in front of the camera and luv that adorable cupcake apron.
Mini Nutter Butters? I haven’t seen that size, are they sold in little snack packages? Great recipe and idea to layer, full of texture and favorite cookie flavors.
Thanks for sharing about the Bake Sale. I would be all for participating, but difficult to commit right now. Please let me know if you plan to do it again. =)

These look SO good! And, I’m completely on board with the Nutter Butters instead of the Oreo filling! Great post!
Thanks
Oh wow those look incredible! So funny you made these because I was JUST telling Liz @ Blog is the New Black that I was thinking of making pillow cookies for your baking auction- essentially the same recipe, but stuffed with a brownie inside! I love your idea though… I’ll def have to try that next time!
Oh my! I would love a brownie inside of a cookie!!
Those look INSANE!
I wasn’t done with my comment but accidentally posted it. I saw these on Picky Palate and now she’s got ones with candy bars in the middle. Dying! Looks so good. I bet you’ll get a lot for these. Hey, do you have an email subscribe option or do you think you’ll ever get a button on here for it? I don’t use RSS and only follow blogs if I’m notified of new posts by email.
Working on this now
Oh boy – like the cookie wasn’t enough, you had to stuff them!
Can’t go wrong with chocolate stuffed cookies. Delish!
You and your cookies are just gorgeous;) I wish I had a plate of them now with a cup of hot tea. Delicious:)

The only think better than a cookie is a stuffed cookie. These look gorgeous. Sounds like you are going to have some very happy people at your bake sale.
I don’t think a cookie can get any better than this. Who wouldn’t love two cookies combined into one? Yummy. By the way, I’m going to be starting a new linky on my blog this Saturday called “Sweets for a Saturday.” If you get a chance, I hope you’ll be able to come by then and link these up.
Ooh! I’ll have to check it out!!
You did such a great job with the video and those cookies…what’s not to love.?!
