Kid Friendly Smoothies

May 3, 2017

We are a bunch of smoothie drinking fools around here.

I love them because I can pack them with a ton of good things, and the kids have no clue that they’re practically eating a salad! Plus, they’re blended up in no time, they don’t make a big clean up mess, and we can easily take them on the go with us.

Sometimes we have smoothies for breakfast and pair them with pancakes or bagels. Sometimes we use them for afternoon snacks, especially now that it’s starting to get warmer out, it’s a great way to cool off.

I thought I’d share with you a few of our favorite smoothie blends to whirl up in your own blender. [I don’t really have exact measurements…who has time to measure with hungry kids…so I just pour or scoop or add until I think there’s enough. The measurements below are a rough guess]

Love smoothies!!! Great for everyone 🙂

You should avoid flax seeds though, because of the cyanid. In Sweden the National Food Agency strongly advice us not to eat ground flax seeds because of the cyanid content. Better with chia!
