Super Easy Kid’s Bath Paint

August 1, 2017

The last few days have been utter chaos in this household.

I’m sure you could guess by the complete lack of blog posts, but WHOA. Holly is teething like a mother. And I’ve about committed myself to the crazy house.

I never dealt with teething this bad before. Logan was such a teething champ. Hardly ever cried, only took a day or two, and he had all of his teeth by his first birthday. Holly has been the total opposite. This phase is lasting forever. She won’t eat anything and starts to cry immediately in pain when she tries. I guess this is the reason that she hasn’t weaned yet, because seriously, I don’t know what she would have lived off of to survive, if it wasn’t for the boobs. She won’t nap or sleep and just wants to sit and watch Moana all day.

In an attempt to have some kind of activity and give her something to do, I decided to make some foaming bath paint. I loaded the kids up in the bath tub in the middle of the day and just let them play for an hour. It was actually such a nice break in the day. And they really enjoyed it.

The best part was that this was so super easy to put together.

All you need is shaving cream and food coloring. Yup! That’s it. Squirt the shaving cream in a muffin tin, bowl, tupperware, whatever you’ve got. Then add in a few drops of food coloring and mix it up. WALLAH — instant paint.

I gave the kids some brushes, sponges, squirt bottles, and off to the bath we went. The laughter that was coming from this tub was just the cutest. Think we will be doing this on a more “routine” basis, and hopefully not just in my teething, white flag raising, moments!
