Fall Bucket List Tree

September 28, 2017

It’s hard to think that when I started doing this fall tree, that Logan was just a little guy. He was Holly’s size!

At that age he had no clue what we were doing, and honestly neither did I. I was just looking for a way to keep him busy, and thought this could be a fun way to learn about leaves and fall and seasons changing. I didn’t really think it would turn in to a family tradition, but that’s exactly what’s happened. It makes me feel so proud to have created a tradition for us. A lot of our other traditions are passed down through family. But this tree, this is ours.

What’s even cooler, is that Logan is now at the age to help do most of the tree. He cut out all the leaves, he helped tape them all up, and he even remembers the items we put on the leaves. We were watching Halloween Curious George, and he said “oh mom, which leaf is the Halloween movie?? We need to make it fall!”.

This is how were keeping track of all the fun things we wanna do this fall. Do you have a fall bucket list? Here’s some of the things on our tree. Each leaf we complete, we drop it down to the bottom of the tree.

Carve pumpkins
Make Halloween cookies
Balloon Fiesta
Make a thankful tree
Bake a pie
Erupt pumpkins
Halloween party
Make caramel apples
Pumpkin patch
Go to Charlie Brown
Make cinnamon playdough
Jump in leaves
Trick or treat
Roast marshmallows

Logan said that we should just leave this tree up when all the leaves fall, and wait for it to grown new ones….I think he might be on to something.
